Can my 10 year old or 15 year old come to this dance?

While we understand that sometimes students’ ages and grades don’t match up with traditional students, we have chosen to set age requirements instead of grade requirements for our events in order to keep them age appropriate. Students must be 11-14 to attend this dance. If you have an older child, we will be having a dance for them, as well. Please visit Tampa Bay HIvE for more information. Is there a dress code for this dance?

Semi-formal or Emily in Paris cosplay is encouraged, but not mandatory. Dressy casual attire is acceptable. Jeans without tears/holes and clean tennis shoes are permitted. We want the kids to have fun and dance, so comfortable shoes are welcome. Please no active wear. If you have specific questions, please email us.

I have a long drive to the dance; what can I do while my child is there?

Countryside Recreation Center is approximately 1 mile from Countryside Mall, with numerous other shops and restaurants in the area. Additionally, we are always looking for volunteers to set up, chaperone, or tear down an event. If you would like to get involved, please email us.
